Benefits
- Hospitalization Benefit:
Up to ₹10,000 is provided if a worker is hospitalized for 5 or more days. - Disablement Benefit:
In case of disablement due to an accident, financial assistance of up to ₹50,000 is provided. - Monthly Pension for Permanent Disablement:
A pension of ₹750 per month is paid to a permanently disabled worker. - Family Pension:
If a pension holder dies, their spouse or nominee receives a family pension of ₹375 per month.
Eligibility
For Registration as a Building/Construction Worker:
- Must be a resident of West Bengal.
- Must be engaged in building or construction work.
- Age must be between 18 and 60 years.
- Must have engaged in construction work for at least 90 days in a given year.
For Availing the Welfare Scheme:
- The worker must be a registered member under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
- The scheme applies to those who are hospitalized for 5 or more days due to an accident or become disabled (permanently or partially) due to an accident.
- In the event of death, the nominee or spouse of the worker is eligible for the family pension.

Offline Submission
Registration as a Building/Construction Worker:
- Step 1:
Request Form-27 from the Assistant Labour Commissioners/Beneficiary Registering Officers. - Step 2:
Complete the form and attach all mandatory documents (self-attested, if required). - Step 3:
Submit the form to the Assistant Labour Commissioners/Beneficiary Registering Officers. - Post-Registration:
Upon successful verification, the worker is issued an identity card and passbook. A registration fee of ₹20 and a yearly subscription fee of ₹30 are collected. Renewal is required annually via Form-27A.
Application for the Welfare Scheme:

A registered worker requests Form-XXXIV for the accidental benefit from the Assistant Labour Commissioners/Beneficiary Registering Officers. - Step 2:
