ISRO INTERNSHIP

The Department of Space (DoS) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) offer incredible opportunities for students through their Internship Scheme and Student Project Trainee Scheme. These programs aim to nurture young minds by giving them hands-on exposure to real-time space research, technologies, and innovations.

 1. ISRO Internship Scheme

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to UG, PG, and PhD students (Indian citizens only).

• Applicants must be from recognized Indian or foreign universities.

• Must be pursuing courses in Science or Technology disciplines.

• Candidates who have completed their course within 6 months of application are also eligible.

• Must have a minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA of 6.32/10.

Duration:
Maximum of 45 days.

2. Student Project Trainee Scheme

This scheme allows eligible students to undertake academic project work at various ISRO Centres and Units.

Additional Criteria:

• Minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.32/10.

• Selection is subject to the availability of expertise, project requirement, and facility availability at the respective ISRO centre.

Documents to be Submitted for Internship/Project Work

To apply for a project or internship at ISTRAC or any other ISRO centre, students must send a formal request to:

Deadline: At least one month prior to your preferred start date.

Attach the following documents with your request:

1. Bonafide Certificate from your institution (on official letterhead) signed by the Principal/Director/HoD, including:

   • Name of Student

   • Registration Number

   • Degree & Branch

   • Period of Study

   • Present Academic Year & Semester

   • CGPA / % Marks

   • Purpose (Internship/Project Work)

   • Requested Duration

   • Nationality

   • Character & Conduct of the Student

2. Consolidated Mark Sheet (till the previous semester)

3. College ID Card (copy)

4. Aadhaar Card (copy)

5. Passport Size Photograph

6. Contact Details: Mobile Number and Email ID

Important Notes

• No stipend or financial assistance is provided.

• Accommodation is not guaranteed, but guest house/hostel/quarter facilities may be offered on a chargeable basis, subject to availability.

• Interns are allowed access only to unclassified areas of ISRO facilities.

• Certificates are awarded on successful completion of the internship/project work and evaluation of the final report.

• Any publication or report based on the work must be cleared by the respective Centre.
