The Master Control Facility (MCF) of ISRO, located in Hassan, Karnataka, offers valuable opportunities for students to gain real-time experience through internships and academic project work. As part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s focus on holistic education, these programs aim to equip students with practical exposure in space operations and satellite control.

Internship Scheme – MCF, ISRO

Internship opportunities are open to UG, PG, and PhD students for a minimum duration of 15 days and up to 45 days.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a citizen of India.

  • Must be a regular student pursuing UG/PG/PhD from a recognized university/institution (India or abroad)
    OR
    Have completed the course within 6 months of application.

  • Students should be in 5th semester or 3rd year onwards of their degree.

  • Minimum aggregate of 60% or CGPA of 6.32/10.

Facilities Not Provided

  • No stipend, transport, or accommodation is offered.

Internship Window

  • Typically offered during August to October every year.

  • In special cases, internships may be allowed in other months based on mission schedules and resource availability.

Important Notes

  • Allotment is based on first-come, first-served basis.

  • The number of slots is limited.

  • Internships will be assigned based on project relevance and available resources at MCF.

    • Duly signed and stamped on college letterhead


Student Project Trainee Scheme – MCF, ISRO

MCF also offers final-year students a chance to complete their academic project work related to space control systems, engineering, and satellite technologies.

Eligibility & Duration

Degree Eligibility Minimum Duration
BE / BTech Completed 6th semester 45 days
ME / MTech Completed 1st semester 120 days
MSc Completed 1st semester 120 days

Academic Criteria:
Minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.32/10 required.

 Project Guidelines

  • Allotment will be first come, first served.

  • Projects will be assigned based on availability and alignment with academic discipline.

  • No stipend or accommodation is provided.
