IOQM, which is short for Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics, is not your average school exam. It marks the beginning of the path to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and if you plan on taking math seriously, your journey begins now.

Let’s go over how to register, who is eligible to apply, exam date, syllabus, and absolutely everything else.

🧾 What is IOQM?

IOQM is the first stage of India’s selection process for the IMO (International Maths Olympiad). It’s jointly organized by HBCSE and MTA (Mathematics Teachers’ Association of India).

If you clear IOQM, you go to the next stage: INMO (Indian National Mathematics Olympiad) → then training camps → and finally IMO (yup, international level!).

So yeah, it’s kind of a big deal for students who really like math.
