Objectives

  • Promote self-employment through goat farming
  • Enhance meat and milk production
  • Improve socio-economic status of economically weaker families

Goat Units (Target 2025–26)

  • Structure per unit: 15 Does + 1 Buck
  • Total Target Combined with Sheep Units: 160 units (District-wise combined)

Financial Assistance/Subsidy

  • Subsidy Amount: 25% of total unit cost
  • Unit Cost:
    • 15 Does @ ₹6,000 = ₹90,000
    • 1 Buck @ ₹8,000 = ₹8,000
    • Total = ₹98,000
  • Maximum Subsidy: ₹24,500
  • Age Criteria for Animals: 12–18 months (both male and female)
  • Disbursement: After 3 months of tagging or loan disbursement, verified by Veterinary Surgeon

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 18–60 years
  • Must be a resident of Haryana
  • Unemployed (Unemployment certificate required)
  • No educational qualification required
  • Spouse must not have availed any departmental scheme in the past 7 years
  • NOC required from service area bank

Application Process

  • Apply via SARAL Portal
  • PPP ID is mandatory
  • Can apply through CSC, Antyodaya Kendra, Atal Sewa Kendra, or e-Disha Centres

  • Aadhar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Bank Passbook or Cancelled Cheque
  • NOC from Service Area Bank

Selection and Purchase

  • Based on first-come, first-serve basis within budget and target limits
  • Purchase organized at nearest Government Veterinary Institution

Purchase Committee (General Scheme)

  • Chairman: Sub Divisional Officer (Animal Husbandry)
  • Members: Veterinary Surgeon, Bank Representative, VLDA

MMAPUY Beneficiaries

  • Family Income: Below ₹1.80 lakh annually
  • Subsidy: 90% of unit cost = ₹88,200
  • Application via Utthan Portal
  • Disbursement after 7 days of verification

Livestock Insurance

  • Covered under Livestock Insurance Scheme (if available)
  • Otherwise arranged by beneficiary or lending bank

Livestock Age and Maturity

  • Female Goat: 12–18 months (sexual maturity: 8–12 months)
  • Male Goat: 12–18 months (sexual maturity: 11–12 months)
  • All animals must be in prime reproductive age
