Internship Scheme at ISTRAC

ISTRAC offers short-term internship opportunities for Indian UG, PG, and PhD students to enhance their practical knowledge in relevant scientific domains.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a citizen of India

  • Pursuing or recently completed (within 6 months) a regular on-campus UG/PG/PhD course from a recognized university/institution (India or abroad)

  • Disciplines: Science / Technology relevant to ISRO programmes

  • Must have minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.32/10

  • Must be studying in 5th semester or above

Duration

  • Minimum: 15 Days

  • Maximum: 45 Days

When to Apply?

  • Application Months: April–May and November–December

  • Apply at least 30 days in advance

Please Note:

  • No stipend, transport, or accommodation provided

  • NRI/Foreign national students are not eligible

  • Selection is first-come, first-served and based on project relevance & seat availability

  • Do not send multiple emails — this may lead to disqualification

  • Response (acceptance/rejection) will be sent only via email


Student Project Trainee Scheme at ISTRAC

ISTRAC also offers final-year students and research scholars an opportunity to work on long-term academic projects aligned with ISRO’s mission-critical activities.

Eligibility & Minimum Duration

Degree Eligibility Min. Duration
BE / B.Tech Completed 6th Semester 45 Days
ME / M.Tech Completed 1st Semester 120 Days
B.Sc / Diploma Final Year Only 45 Days
M.Sc Completed 1st Semester 120 Days
Ph.D Completed Course Work 30 Months

Academic Requirement: Minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.32 on 10-point scale

Application Timeline

  • Accepting applications during April–May and November–December

  • Must apply 30 days in advance

Note:

  • Offline project mode only

  • No financial aid provided

  • Allotment based on project availability, guide availability, and student’s academic fit

  • No foreign nationals allowed

  1. Request letter from HoD/Principal/Director (on college letterhead) with:

    • Student Name

    • Registration No.

    • Degree, Branch

    • Period of Study

    • Current Semester & Academic Year

    • CGPA / % Marks

    • Purpose & Duration

    • Nationality

    • Character & Conduct statement

  2. Bonafide Certificate

  3. Consolidated Mark Sheet / CGPA Printout

  4. College ID Card (copy)

  5. Aadhaar Card (copy)

  6. Passport Size Photo

  7. Resume with valid Mobile Number & Email ID
