The Jute Raw Material Bank Scheme (JRMB) is an initiative by the National Jute Board (NJB) aimed at promoting easy and affordable access to jute raw materials across jute-producing clusters in India. These banks will be set up in collaboration with qualified agencies having experience in jute or related sectors. JRMBs will provide backward linkages to JRCPC beneficiaries, WSHGs, jute artisans, and jute-based micro and small units.
JRMBs will source raw jute materials directly from mills or manufacturers and offer them at prices below mill-gate rates to enhance competitiveness in the production of Jute Diversified Products (JDPs).
