✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be pursuing 3-Year LLB or 5-Year Integrated Law Course

  • Preference is given to students in their later years (2nd/3rd or 4th/5th year)

  • Students must not have ongoing college exams during the internship period


📅 Internship Schedule & Application Window

Each internship batch begins on the 1st day of the month. Applications must be submitted 2 months in advance.

Example:
To apply for the March 2025 internship, you must fill out the form between 1st December 2024 to 31st January 2025.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Visit https://nalsa.gov.in

  2. Fill the online application form

  3. Upload the following documents:

    • CV/Resume

    • Expression of Interest (1-page write-up)

    • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your college/university

Note: Only online applications are accepted. Selections are made purely on merit.


📚 What You Will Learn

During the internship, you will:

  • Attend an orientation session on NALSA’s role and structure

  • Study NALSA’s schemes, SOPs, reports, and legal aid modules

  • Go on field visits to:

    • Delhi State Legal Services Authority

    • District Legal Services Authority

    • Legal Aid Defense Counsel Office

    • Mediation Centre, Supreme Court

    • CAW Cells, Remand Courts, and more

  • Visit the Supreme Court Library and Supreme Court Legal Services Committee

  • Participate in National Lok Adalat

  • Conclude with a team interaction and group photograph at NALSA


📌 Important Guidelines

  • Internship is full-time and offline (no part-time/remote mode)

  • Timings: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (except 2nd & 4th Saturdays)

  • Interns must maintain 90% attendance

  • No TA/DA, accommodation, or stipend will be provided

  • Interns must carry personal laptops

  • Formal black & white dress code is mandatory (as per Bar Council norms)

  • No letters of recommendation will be issued

  • Will be provided upon successful completion of the internship

  • Only awarded if the intern maintains 90% attendance

  • Report submission at the end of the program is mandatory
