As per the guidelines framed by the Dept. of Space, Govt. of India, only students with six (two) semesters in their Batchelors (Masters) degree course completed with total more than 60% of marks or 6.32 out of 10 grade scale secured will be considered for their internship or project works at NARL. Necessary mark sheets as proof need to be enclosed. Software based auto-generated HOD recommendation letter, printed or affixed HOD signature in their recommendation letter will not be accepted. Only recommendation letters duly signed by Head of the Department /Institute (HoD/HoI) will be considered. Confirmation of internship/project is based on the limited availability of NARL guides and their acceptance of guiding students. As our communication will be with only NARL internship/project confirmed students, please check that you enclosed the above required materials while applying online.

Eligibility Criteria for NARL Student Project Work

To be considered for project training or internship at NARL, students must meet the following criteria:

  • 📘 Pursuing M.Tech / MCA / M.Sc / B.Tech or equivalent

  • 📚 Background in Atmospheric Science / Physics / Electronics / Computer Science

  • 🏫 Studying in an AICTE/Government/University-recognized institute

  • ✅ Must have completed at least 6 semesters (UG) or 2 semesters (PG)

  • 🎓 Minimum 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA on a 10-point scale

  • 📊 Must have scored above 65% throughout their academic career

  • 👥 Each project group can have a maximum of 3 students

  • 🕒 Project duration should be more than 3 months

📌 Note: Selection depends on topic relevance and availability of NARL guides. No more than 2 batches per college will be accepted.


How to Apply for NARL Internship 2025

Step 1: Prepare a Formal Request Letter

The Head of Department/Principal must issue a request letter addressed to:

The letter must include:

  • Names of all students in the batch

  • Project duration & expected start date

  • Confirmation that project work is part of academic curriculum

  • Project topic(s)

  • Enclose detailed biodata and mark sheets of all students

Applications from individual students will not be considered.

Step 2: Submit the Application Online

In addition to posting the signed documents, also:

🕒 Ensure your application reaches at least 30 days before your proposed start date.

Documents Required (PDF, max 4MB each)

  1. 📝 HOD-signed Recommendation Letter (Auto-generated or printed signatures not accepted)

  2. 📄 Student Biodata with academic details

  3. 📚 Previous project reports (if applicable)

  4. 🆔 Copy of mark sheets/proof of eligibility

NARL Project Work Procedure

  • Students will be mentored under a Guide-Student model

  • Projects will be aligned with ongoing research at NARL

  • Assignments may be given throughout the internship

  • On completion, students will receive a Project Completion Certificate signed by the Guide and Student Project Cell Coordinator
