Note:

  • Stipend shall not be granted if the student has failed the previous academic year.
  • Students receiving educational benefits from other Punjab Government departments are also eligible under this scheme.

Eligibility

For Registration as a Building/Construction Worker

  • The applicant must be a resident of Punjab.
  • The applicant must be a Building/Construction Worker (Unorganised Worker).
  • Age requirement: Between 18 and 60 years.
  • Must have worked in construction for at least 90 days in a given year.
  • Monthly income should be ₹15,000/- or below.
  • The applicant must not be a member of any other Welfare Fund under any law.
  • The applicant should not be a member of EPF/NPS/ESIC.
  • Income taxpayers are not eligible.

For the Application of the Welfare Scheme

  • The applicant must be a registered construction worker or a child of a registered construction worker.

  • Registration with the Board:
    • Submit Application Form No. 28 with a registration fee of ₹25/- (one-time) and a monthly contribution of ₹10/-.
    • The registration is valid for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 5 years.
    • Registered workers are called ‘Beneficiaries’ of the Board.
