Pucca Ghar Yojana (Mining) is an initiative by the Government of Odisha aimed at improving the living conditions of households in mining-affected blocks of nine mineral-bearing districts. The scheme provides financial assistance to eligible households to convert kutcha houses into pucca houses capable of withstanding climatic conditions and wear and tear.

Objectives
- To provide pucca houses to all eligible households in mining-affected areas.

Definitions
- Pucca House:
- Constructed with durable materials like fly ash bricks, burnt bricks, stones, cement concrete, etc.
 - Roof materials include RCC, tiles, GCI sheets, or other approved materials.
 - Expected lifetime: Minimum 30 years.
 
 - Kutcha House:
- Made of non-durable materials such as unburnt bricks, bamboo, mud, grass, etc.
 - Unable to withstand normal wear and tear due to climatic conditions.
 
 
Benefits
- Financial Assistance:
- ₹1,20,000 for non-IAP districts.
 - ₹1,30,000 for IAP districts.
 
 - Additional Support:
- Wage component under MGNREGS:
- 90 person days in non-IAP districts.
 - 95 person days in IAP districts.
 
 - ₹12,000 for IHHL (Individual Household Latrine).
 - Convergence benefits:
- Potable water supply.
 - Electrification under DDU GJY/BGJY.
 - Land development wages under MGNREGS.
 - Social security under AABY/RSBY.

- ₹20,000 for completing the house within 4 months.

Eligibility Criteria
- Target Areas:
- 36 blocks in nine mining-affected districts: Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, and Rayagada.
 
 - Household Type:
- Kutcha households without a sanctioned house under any previous housing scheme.
 
 - Exclusions:
- Households with existing pucca houses.
 - Beneficiaries of previous rural housing schemes.
 
 
Application Process
Online Registration
- Visit the Rural Housing Odisha Portal.
 - Click on “Registration” and fill in the required details in the Beneficiary Registration Form.
 - Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and submit the form.
 
Selection Process
- Survey and Verification:
- Block Development Officers (BDOs) conduct field surveys to identify eligible households.
 - The list is verified against previous housing scheme beneficiaries and SECC 2011 data.
 
 - Sanctioning:
- BDOs submit verified lists to the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) and the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water (PR&DW) Department.
 - Sanction orders are issued to eligible beneficiaries.
 
 - Work Orders:
- Beneficiaries receive work orders after submitting required documents like RoR, Aadhaar, and bank details.
