💡 Quick Answer: Check your Ladki Bahin Yojana status (लाडकी बहीण योजना स्थिती): 👉 ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in Helpline: 181 or 1800-120-8040 Payment started from May 14-15 — update your bank passbook

What Happened — Full Story in 2 Minutes

Step 1 — eKYC Deadline: Maharashtra Government had set April 30, 2026 as the final date for e-KYC (ई-केवायसी). After the deadline, the government verified all data.

Step 2 — 70 Lakh Accounts Blocked: 70 lakh women (७० लाख महिला) who could not complete e-KYC by April 30 have been removed from the beneficiary list (लाभार्थी यादी). Their bank accounts have been blocked. The e-KYC link has also been removed from the portal.

Step 3 — April Installment Released: From May 14-15, 2026, the government has started transferring money via DBT. Women with completed e-KYC are receiving ₹1,500 (April installment) or ₹3,000 (two months combined).

How to Check Your Status (स्थिती कशी तपासावी)

Online — On the Portal

Step 1: Open 👉 ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in

Step 2: Click “Applicant Login” (अर्जदार लॉगिन)

Step 3: Enter your registered Mobile Number, Password, and Captcha

Step 4: After login, click “Applications Made Earlier” (यापूर्वी केलेले अर्ज)

Step 5: Check the Status column:

Status Meaning
Approved / Active ✅ Account active — payment is coming
Hold / Temporary Pause e-KYC incomplete — payment on hold
Rejected (नाकारलेले) Name removed from list
Blocked Account blocked — offline complaint needed

Offline — Bank Passbook

No SMS? Go directly to your bank (बँक).

Get your passbook updated. If ₹1,500 or ₹3,000 was credited after May 14, it will show there. Some banks take 2-3 days to process — check by May 18-20.

Whose Payment is Blocked — Clear Answer

Payment will NOT come if:

❌ e-KYC was not completed by April 30, 2026 ❌ Aadhaar was not linked to bank account (आधार-बँक लिंक नाही) ❌ Joint account was used — single-name account required ❌ Name was on ineligible list (government employee, income taxpayer) ❌ Duplicate application existed

Payment WILL come if:

✅ e-KYC was successfully completed ✅ Aadhaar is NPCI-linked to bank account ✅ Bank account is in your name only (एकट्या नावावर) ✅ Application was in Approved status

Note: Some banks process DBT with a 2-3 day delay. If payment has not arrived yet — wait until May 18-20 before contacting helpline.

What to Do Now — Based on Your Situation

Situation 1: e-KYC was incomplete — What now?

Bad news: The online e-KYC link has been removed from the portal. You cannot do it from home anymore.

Good news: The offline route is still open.

Go to any of these with your documents:

  • WCD (Women and Child Development) Office — जिल्हा महिला व बालविकास कार्यालय
  • Anganwadi Kendra — अंगणवाडी केंद्र
  • Setu Suvidha Kendra — सेतू सुविधा केंद्र
  • Gram Sevak / Ward Officer

Documents to carry (कागदपत्रे):

  • ✅ Aadhaar Card (original)
  • ✅ Ration Card (रेशन कार्ड)
  • ✅ Bank Passbook
  • ✅ Your registration/application number
  • ✅ Mobile number used during registration

At the office: Register an offline grievance (तक्रार नोंदवा) stating that you are a genuine beneficiary and could not complete e-KYC due to technical issues or circumstances.

Important: Always take a receipt (पावती) when submitting complaint. It must have date and stamp. This is your proof.

Situation 2: e-KYC was done — but payment still not received

Check these one by one:

1. Is Aadhaar linked to your bank account? Go to your bank branch. Ask: “माझे आधार बँक खात्याशी जोडले आहे का?” (Is my Aadhaar linked to my bank account?)

2. Is NPCI mapping active? Ask bank: “NPCI mapping update करा” (Update NPCI mapping)

3. Is your account active? If no transactions happened for a long time — account may be dormant. Do a small transaction. DBT does not go into dormant accounts.

4. Call helpline: 181 or 1800-120-8040

Situation 3: SMS received — want to confirm

Go to bank and update passbook — amount will show. Or check in your mobile banking app.

Note down the reference number from the SMS — you will need it for any future complaints.

For 70 Lakh Blocked Accounts — Genuine Beneficiaries

If you are genuinely eligible but could not complete e-KYC due to technical problems — the government has an offline path:

Offline Grievance Process:

Step 1: Go to your District WCD Office (जिल्हा महिला व बालविकास कार्यालय)

Step 2: Ask for “Ladki Bahin Yojana Grievance” form

Step 3: Write clearly:

  • Your name, mobile number, registration number
  • What problem occurred — portal error, OTP not received, portal was down
  • Why you are genuinely eligible

Step 4: Attach documents and submit

Step 5: Collect your receipt (पावती)

Government may reactivate genuinely blocked accounts after review — but this process takes time.

Will Online e-KYC Reopen?

No official announcement has been made yet by Maharashtra Government about reopening the online e-KYC window.

The portal link has been removed. The offline complaint route at Anganwadi / WCD / Setu Suvidha Kendra remains available for genuine beneficiaries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Payment has not arrived even after May 14-15 — what to do? (पैसे अजून आले नाहीत — काय करावे?) First update your bank passbook. Some banks take 2-3 days. Wait until May 18-20. If still not received — call 181 and visit bank branch to check NPCI mapping.

How to know if my name is in 70 lakh blocked accounts? Login to portal → Applications Made Earlier → Check Status column. If it shows “Blocked” or “Rejected” — name has been removed. File offline complaint at WCD office.

Will online e-KYC open again? No official announcement yet. Portal link has been removed. Offline route — Anganwadi / WCD / Setu Suvidha Kendra — is available now.

Received ₹3,000 instead of ₹1,500 — why? (₹3,000 का आले?) Some beneficiaries received combined installment — March + April — together. This is correct. May installment will come separately.

My account is joint — will there be a problem? (जॉइंट खाते आहे — काय करावे?) Joint account is not acceptable. Account must be in your name only (एकट्या नावावर) and Aadhaar-linked. Go to bank — open a single account and update on portal.

Name mismatch between Aadhaar and Ration Card — what to do? Go to your Anganwadi Sevika (अंगणवाडी सेविका). Manual correction is done through the official Nari Shakti Doot App. Do not delay — this directly affects your payment.

Where is the nearest WCD office? (जवळचे WCD कार्यालय कुठे आहे?) Visit womenchild.maharashtra.gov.in or ask at your local Gram Panchayat / Ward Office for the district WCD office address.
