📅 The Timeline: Where Do We Stand?
If you are still searching for the CUET UG 2026 registration last date, the short answer is: you’ve missed the boat. The final “mercy window” for registration closed on February 26.
What happens next?
-
City Intimation Slip: Expected to drop today or tomorrow (April 29–30).
-

-
The Exam Window: May 11 to May 31, 2026.
🔑 Using the CUET UG 2026 Login Now
Forget the correction window—that’s history. Your login is now your “Hall Ticket” portal.
-
The City Slip vs. The Admit Card: Download the City Slip first. It won’t let you into the exam hall, but it tells you which city you’re going to so you can book your bus or train tickets.
-
The Admit Card: This is the one you print. It contains your exact center address and, more importantly, your shift timings.
-
Check the Medium: Double-check that your “Question Paper Medium” is correct on the slip. If you chose Hindi and it shows English, you need to email
[email protected]immediately.
📚 Syllabus & Pattern: The 2026 “Streamlining”
NTA has tightened the rules this year to make the process faster. Here is what changed:
-
Subject Cap: You are limited to 5 subjects max this year.
-
The “All Compulsory” Shift: For several domain subjects, the 2026 pattern requires you to attempt all 50 questions in the 60-minute window. No more “pick 40 out of 50” for these specific subjects.
-
Syllabus Focus: Stick strictly to NCERT Class 12. NTA has cut chapters like NPOs (Accountancy) to match the updated board patterns. If it’s not in the new NCERT, don’t waste your time on it.
📝 The “Sarkari” Exam Day Checklist
Centers are notoriously strict. Don’t let a missing photo ruin your year. Carry only:
-
Admit Card: Printed on a clean A4 sheet (Color is preferred, but B&W works).
-
Original ID: Aadhaar, PAN, or Voter ID. A photocopy will not be accepted.
-
Passport Photo: Carry the exact same photo you uploaded. You’ll need to paste this on the attendance sheet inside the hall.
-
Transparent Water Bottle: To stay hydrated during the 60-minute back-to-back shifts.
💡 Common 2026 Troubleshooting
“The Exam City is in a different state!” NTA usually gives your first preference, but if you’ve been assigned a city 500km away, use the NTA Help Desk (011-40759000) immediately. 2026 has seen a few “technical re-allocations,” so filing a grievance early is your only hope for a center change.
“My status shows Payment Pending” If you paid but the portal says “Pending” now that registration is closed, you must carry your bank transaction receipt to the exam center as proof.
