Branch-Wise Vacancies: Where Do You Fit?
CHESS has allocated seats based on specific technical disciplines. You must mention your Branch Code on your application envelope to ensure it reaches the right department.

The Merit Bar: Are You Eligible?
Selection for this program is strictly merit-based. Before spending time on the paperwork, verify that you meet these high standards:
- Academic Excellence: You must have a score of 75% or above, or a CGPA of 7.5/10 or higher.
- Educational Status: You must be a final-year student pursuing a full-time UG or PG degree from a recognized Indian University.
- Age Limit: You must be below 28 years old.
- Citizenship: This opportunity is open only to Indian Citizens.
The Stipend & Attendance Reality
Unlike a standard monthly salary, the ₹30,000 stipend is tied to your successful completion of the 6-month term.
- Installment 1: ₹15,000 is paid after you complete the first 3 months.
- Installment 2: The final ₹15,000 is paid after the 6-month completion.
- The 15-Day Rule: You must have a minimum of 15 working days of attendance every month to remain eligible for the stipend.
- Commitment: If you leave before the 6-month mark, you will not receive the stipend or the completion certificate.
How to Apply (The Offline Protocol)
This is a traditional offline application process. Your application must be sent via Speed Post.
- The Application: Download the prescribed format from the DRDO careers website.
- The Referral: You must include a referral letter from your College Principal or Director.
