Why May 28th is a “Dangerous” Date: I’ve been tracking these portals for years. On the final two days (May 27 and 28), the servers usually crawl because everyone is trying to upload documents at once. If the site crashes and your payment doesn’t go through, you miss the entire first round of admissions. My advice? Aim to finish everything by May 20th.

If you don’t complete your registration and “Lock” your choices by May 28, 2026:

The GCAS portal usually works best late at night (after 11 PM) or very early in the morning (before 7 AM). If you are getting a “Server Busy” or “OTP Not Received” error during the day, try again at these “low-traffic” times.
