If you are a central or state government employee, or part of a PSU, completing your registration is the first step toward building your digital service profile. This guide covers the updated 2026 registration process, including the new mobile-first onboarding and Parichay integration.
What is iGOT Karmayogi?
iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) is a comprehensive online portal designed to provide “anytime, anywhere” competency-based training. With over 2 crore officials expected to be onboarded by the end of 2026, the platform now offers:
-
Domain-specific courses (GST, Digital India, etc.)
-
Functional training (Ethics, Leadership, Office Procedures)
-
Karma Points which track your learning progress and contribute to your service record.
Eligibility for Registration
In 2026, the eligibility criteria have expanded. You can register if you are:
-
A Central Government employee.
-
A State Government or Union Territory official.
-
Working in a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) or Autonomous Body.
-
A member of the Armed Forces or Police Departments.
How to Register on iGOT Karmayogi (Step-by-Step)
The registration process has been updated to support both official and personal email IDs, making it easier for field-level staff to join.
Step 1: Access the Portal
Visit the official website at https://igotkarmayogi.gov.in/. You can also download the iGOT Karmayogi App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for a mobile-first experience.
Step 2: Initiate Registration
Click on the “Register” button located at the top right corner. You will be redirected to the signup page.
Step 3: Enter Personal Information
Fill in the following details accurately:
-
Full Name: Must match your service book records.
-
Organization Details: Choose your Ministry, Department, and specific Organization (MDO).
-
Designation: Enter your current post (e.g., Section Officer, Assistant, etc.).
Step 4: Identity Verification (The 2026 Method)
The platform now uses a two-factor verification system:
-
Mobile Number: Enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. You will receive an OTP instantly.
-
Email ID: While
.gov.inor.nic.inis preferred, you can now use a verified personal email if your department has not yet issued an official one.
Step 5: Setup Login via Parichay (Optional but Recommended)
If your department uses Parichay (Single Sign-On), you can link your account immediately. This allows you to log in using the same credentials you use for e-Office or other government portals.
Pro-Tip: If you cannot find your specific department in the dropdown list, do not select a random one. Use the “Request to Add Organization” link. This sends a trigger to the Karmayogi Bharat team to update the database for your specific office.
Key Features to Explore After Login
Once your registration is successful, you should complete your profile to 100% to unlock all features.
1. The Competency Hub
This section suggests courses based on your current “Role.” For example, if you are in the Finance Department, the system will automatically recommend courses on Public Financial Management System (PFMS) and GeM (Government e-Marketplace).
2. Karma Points and Badges
As you complete courses, you earn Karma Points. These are digital tokens of your learning agility. In 2026, many departments have started integrating these points into the Annual Performance Appraisal Report (APAR).
3. Multilingual Support
Courses are no longer restricted to English and Hindi. You can now toggle the language settings to access content in regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and Bengali.
Common Issues and Fixes
Common Questions (FAQ)
1. Is iGOT Karmayogi mandatory?
While it depends on your specific department’s orders, most ministries have made “Foundational Courses” mandatory for all staff to ensure a uniform understanding of government digital initiatives.
2. Can I use the portal on my personal phone?
Yes. The iGOT Karmayogi App allows you to download course materials for offline viewing, which is perfect for learning during commutes.
3. How do I get my certificate?
After completing a course and passing the final quiz (usually requiring a 60% score), the certificate is automatically generated. You can download it from the “My Learning” section.
4. What if I am transferred to another department?
You do not need to register again. Simply go to Profile Settings and update your “MDO” (Ministry/Department/Organization) to your new posting. Your Karma Points will transfer with you.
Note: Always ensure you logout from public computers after finishing your session to maintain the security of your service profile.
