The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India, has announced its prestigious Summer Internship Programme (SIP) 2025, offering a golden opportunity for students passionate about human rights, law, and social justice. Scheduled from 16th June to 11th July 2025, this four-week program is designed to provide academic insights, field exposure, and interactions with key stakeholders working in the realm of human rights.

🎓 Who Can Apply?
NHRC welcomes applications from students across India, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Law Students:
- Completed 1st year and currently in 2nd or 3rd year of 3-year LLB course
- Completed 3 years or 6 semesters of a 5-year integrated law program (e.g., BA LLB)
- Postgraduates & Social Science Students:
- Students pursuing LLM, MA in Human Rights, PG Diploma in Human Rights, or PG in disciplines like Political Science, Sociology, Social Work (MSW), Public Administration, Criminology, International Relations, etc. (Final-year students preferred)
- Academic Requirements:
- Minimum 65% marks in Class 12 and all subsequent semesters
- Age must be below 28 years as of 1st May 2025
- Must be enrolled in a regular course in a UGC-recognized university
✍️ Selection Process
- Submit a 300–500 word SOP on “Why you want to intern at NHRC” while filling out the online form
- Selection will be based on a 100-mark merit list:
- Class 12 marks: 30
- Graduation marks: 40
- SOP: 30
- Past participants of NHRC SIP/WIP are not eligible
