If you’re a farmer in Uttar Pradesh, the rules for getting your government benefits just changed. As of May 2026, the state has fully integrated the UPFR (UP Farmer Registry) under the national AgriStack initiative.

Whether you’re looking for PM-Kisan installments, subsidized seeds, or the new 2026 crop insurance, you need a 13-digit Farmer ID. Without this digital “Kisan Pehchaan Patra,” your subsidies could be paused.
📅 Important 2026 Deadlines
-
Sugarcane Farmers: Your GPS-based survey and registration must be completed by June 30, 2026.
-
Kharif Season Registration: To be eligible for the next round of PM-Kisan and seed subsidies, aim to finish your registration by May 31, 2026.
🛠️ How to Register: Step-by-Step (2026 Process)
The process is now heavily dependent on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. If your Aadhaar isn’t linked to your current SIM, visit a post office today—you can’t finish the OTP verification without it.
Step 1: The Basic “e-KYC”
Go to the official portal: upfr.agristack.gov.in.
-
Click on the “Farmer” tab and select “Create New User Account.”
-
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number. You’ll get an OTP on your linked phone.
Step 2: Setting Your Credentials
Once verified, create a username and a strong password. This is your permanent “Kisan Login.”
Step 3: Land Record Mapping (The Critical Part)
This is where most farmers get stuck. The system tries to “fetch” your land details automatically from UP Bhulekh.
-
Enter your District, Tehsil, and Village.
-
Search by your Khasra number or Gata number.
-
The Check: Your name on the Aadhaar must match the name on the land record exactly. If there’s a typo (e.g., “Ram” vs. “Rama”), you’ll have to click “My name is not there” and upload a manual copy of your Khatauni.
Step 4: Bank & Social Category
Enter your IFSC code and bank account number. Remember, in 2026, payments only go to Aadhaar-seeded accounts. If your bank account isn’t linked to Aadhaar, the money will bounce.
📋 Documents You Must Have Ready
-
Aadhaar Card: The primary ID.
-
Mobile Phone: The one linked to your Aadhaar.
-
Khatauni/Khasra: Recent copy (within 6 months).
-
Bank Passbook: To verify the IFSC and account holder name.
🔍 “Registration Rejected?” Common Fixes
I’ve seen a 15% rejection rate this month, mostly due to these three issues:
-
Mismatch in Names: If the land is in your father’s name but you are registering, select “Occupation” as a “Family Member” or “Tenant,” not “Owner.”
-
Duplicate Aadhaar: If you already registered years ago on the old UP Agriculture portal, use the “Forgot Password” option instead of creating a new account.
-
Invalid Khasra: Ensure you are entering the Khasra number, not the mobile or registration number.
