Most students think this scheme is just like the Kali Bai one, but it’s not. The Devnarayan scheme doesn’t just give you a scooty; it also provides annual cash incentives up to Post-Graduation. Here is what you need to know about the 2026 batch.
📅 The May 2026 Ground Reality
The Department of College Education (HTE) is currently processing the 2025-26 applications. If you applied last year, you should be checking your status weekly.
-
Provisional List Status: The “Objection List” is currently live. If your name is there, your application is “frozen” until you fix the error.
-
New Applications (2026-27): For those who passed their 12th this May, the portal is expected to open for new registrations in July 2026.
🔍 Who Actually Gets the Scooty? (Eligibility)
To make it into the top 1,500 students who get a free scooty, you must meet these strict 2026 criteria:
-
Caste: Must belong to MBC (Gurjar, Banjara, Raika, Rebari, Gadaria, etc.).
-
Marks: Minimum 50% in 12th (RBSE/CBSE). However, to get a scooty, the real merit list usually starts above 82-85%.
-
Family Income: Must be less than ₹2.5 Lakh per year.
-
No Gap Year: This is where most girls fail. There must be zero gap between your 12th and your 1st year of College.
⚠️ The “Objection” Headache: 3 Common Fixes
If you see your name in the Devnarayan Objection List 2026, don’t panic. Here is how to clear it on your SSO ID:
-
Income Certificate: The portal is rejecting certificates issued before October 2025. You need a fresh one that reflects your family’s current income.
-
Caste Certificate: Ensure your certificate specifically mentions “MBC” or “Special Backward Class.” Old OBC certificates are often flagged.
-
Bank Account: In 2026, the scholarship is DBT-only. If your bank account isn’t Aadhaar-seeded, the system will show an error. Visit your bank and ask them to enable “DBT” immediately.
💰 Not Just a Scooty: The Cash Incentive
The Devnarayan scheme is unique because even if you don’t make the top 1,500 list for the scooty, you can still get:
-
Graduation: ₹10,000 per year (for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year).
-
Post-Graduation: ₹20,000 per year.
-
Note: You cannot take both the scooty and the cash. If you get a scooty, you don’t get the ₹10k yearly payment.
