RS vs LR — What’s the Difference?
This is the most confusing part for most users — and most articles don’t explain it properly.
When land reforms happened in West Bengal, large old plots (RS — Revisional Survey, called Sabek Dag) were subdivided into multiple smaller plots (LR — Land Reforms, called Hal Dag).
Example: RS Plot 45 might have become LR plots 45/1, 45/2, 45/3 after subdivision.
When to use RS-LR information:
- Old deed shows a different (higher) plot number
- New records show multiple plots from one old plot
- You need to trace your land from old records to current records

Kab zaruri hai:

Without Dakhil Kharij: Old owner’s name Khatian mein rehta hai — bank loan, property sale — sab mein problem।
