Have you checked your SSO portal only to see a “Pending” or “Objection” status on your scooty application? If you’re a girl student in Rajasthan right now, there’s a 90% chance the problem is your Jan Aadhaar KYC.

In 2026, the government has moved to a mandatory AI-based verification system. If your name, date of birth, or bank details in Jan Aadhaar don’t perfectly match your 10th marksheet, your scholarship or scooty won’t be approved. Here is the exact way to fix it without running around E-Mitra centers for days.
1. Why is Jan Aadhaar KYC Mandatory Now?
The “e-KYC” process ensures that the person applying for the scheme is the same person who owns the Aadhaar card.
-
The Goal: To stop “fake” applications and ensure the ₹78,000 subsidy (for solar) or the Scooty reaches the right person.
-
The Rule: In 2026, every family member over 5 years old must complete their individual KYC for the family ID to stay active for benefits.
2. How to Do Your Jan Aadhaar e-KYC (Step-by-Step)
You don’t necessarily need an E-Mitra; you can do this from your phone if your mobile is linked to Aadhaar.
-
Log in to SSO: Go to sso.rajasthan.gov.in and open the Jan Aadhaar app.
-
Enrollment Menu: Select the “Family e-KYC” option.
-
Authentication: Enter your Jan Aadhaar ID. A list of family members will appear.
-
Aadhaar Verify: Click on the member (the student) who needs KYC. Choose the OTP option (sent to the mobile linked with Aadhaar).
-
Data Fetch: Once the OTP is verified, your photo, name, and DOB will be pulled directly from the Aadhaar database into Jan Aadhaar.
-
Proceed: Once all members above 5 years have a “Completed” status, click the Final Submit button.
3. Three Errors That Will Reject Your Scooty Application
Watch out for these “silent” errors that the portal won’t always warn you about:
-
The “Surname” Trap: If your marksheet says “Priya Gurjar” but your Jan Aadhaar just says “Priya,” the system will flag it as a mismatch. You must update your Aadhaar first, then redo the Jan Aadhaar KYC.
-
Bank Account Mismatch: For schemes like Devnarayan (which gives cash), the bank account in Jan Aadhaar must belong to the Student, not the Head of Family (Mother).
-
Mobile Number: If your mobile number isn’t updated in Jan Aadhaar, you won’t receive the “Distribution SMS” when your scooty is ready.
4. “My KYC is done, but status is still Pending!”
Don’t panic. After you finish the e-KYC, it goes through a two-level verification:
-
Level 1: Verified by the Village Development Officer (VDO) or Urban Executive Officer.
-
Level 2: Final approval by the Block Statistical Officer. This usually takes 7–10 days. Only after this is cleared will your scooty application move to “Approved.”
