Step 2: “Online Services” → “RC Related Services”
Step 3: State select करें → अपना RTO select करें
Step 4: Login → Vehicle Registration Number enter करें
Step 5: “Download RC” → PDF download
RC card खो गया है? यहाँ से duplicate RC apply भी होती है।
DL Status Check
Step 1: parivahan.gov.in → “Driving Licence” → “DL Status”
Step 2: DL Number + Date of Birth enter करें
Step 3: Status दिखेगा:
- Active ✅ = Valid
- Expired = Renewal ज़रूरी
- Suspended = RTO से contact
⭐ Vehicle Owner Search — Used Car/Bike Kharidne Se Pehle
Used vehicle kharidne se pehle यह MUST है:
Step 1: vahan.parivahan.gov.in खोलें
Step 2: “Know Your Vehicle Details”
Step 3: Registration Number enter करें (जैसे DL 01 AB 1234)
Step 4: Captcha → Submit
Step 5: Details देखें:
- Owner name
- Vehicle make/model
- Registration date
- Fitness certificate validity
- Insurance validity
- Hypothecation (loan है या नहीं)
- Blacklisted है या नहीं
Amit की तरह — seller का नाम owner name से match नहीं = red flag = deal cancel। Hypothecation “YES” = गाड़ी पर bank loan है = RC transfer से पहले NOC लेना होगा।
⭐ DigiLocker RC/DL — Physical Copy की ज़रूरत नहीं
2026 में सबसे useful update:
RC और DL DigiLocker से link करने पर — physical copy carry करने की ज़रूरत नहीं। Traffic police DigiLocker document = valid मानते हैं। Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019 = digital documents = legally valid।
DigiLocker में RC/DL add करें:
Step 1: DigiLocker app → Login
Step 2: “Issued Documents” → “Ministry of Road Transport”
Step 3: Vehicle number / DL number → Fetch
Step 4: RC / DL saved in DigiLocker → Show on phone when needed
⭐ Sarathi 4.0 — Driving Licence Online
2024 update — DL learner’s test अब online:
Learner’s Licence Apply: sarathi.parivahan.gov.in → Apply for DL → Learner’s Licence → Documents upload → Slot book → Online test → Pass → LL issued
Permanent DL: Learner’s Licence के 30 दिन बाद → RTO visit → Driving test → Permanent DL
DL Renewal: sarathi.parivahan.gov.in → DL Renewal → DL number + DOB → Documents → Fee → Submit
DL Duplicate: sarathi.parivahan.gov.in → Duplicate DL → Report loss → Apply
Vehicle Registration — New Vehicle
Dealer usually handle करता है।
Self-registration के लिए: parivahan.gov.in → Dealer Services / Citizen Services → New Registration → Form fill → Fee payment → RTO visit
Road Tax Payment

RC Transfer — Used Vehicle Khareedne Ke Baad

Common Problems + Fix
“RC download नहीं हो रही”: State और RTO correctly selected? Login credentials correct? Browser = Chrome। Peak time avoid — सुबह 7-9 AM।
“Vehicle details nahi dikh rahi VAHAN par”: Registration number correct format? Spaces नहीं — DL01AB1234 (no spaces)। कुछ states = data update में देरी।
“DL renewal online nahi ho rahi”: DL expired हो गई? Physical RTO visit ज़रूरी। Expiry से पहले = online renewal।
